Jackson Flint reluctantly agrees to help a woman secure her cabin in the woods and search for missing family items. The job becomes more complicated when drunken bikers arrive and demand an unnamed bounty, and the woman shoots one of them in self-defense. Jackson gets help from his friend and ex-Marine Brick and follows the trail of events through a biker bar and a series of bizarre family stories about a family treasure. When the secret of the cabin is revealed, the woman is confronted with an old family story entwined in local history and her ancestors' escape from slavery.
