Little Bow and Prince Kasim-two boys from very different worlds-learn to overcome their differences, to solve a problem in Prince Kasim's homeland. Prince Kasim and his father, the King, have no food to feed their community since all of their crops have been destroyed by a mysterious fungus. In search of fertile land, Prince Kasim sets out on an adventure and discovers a bountiful harvest. There is only one problem. The land belongs to the Chief, Little Bow's father, and their community. As the two boys set out to defend their positions, they discover that they are more alike than they are different. When they put down their weapons and come together, their decisions change the outcome for both of their communities.
