The aim of this book is to create a platform & start a movement to motivate, encourage, guide, support consumers to speak openly & comfortably about money and challenge their long-held beliefs about how to manage & handle money responsibly in their lives, by holding simple, authentic, respectful, insightful conversations one-on-one with yours truly. It will help change the way you always thought about money; the lies that you have been told as a child growing up until adulthood. How this has had a great impact(influence) in affecting how you talk, think and behave around money & your future. Therefore applying lessons learned, experiences shared, series of introspective questions that will leave you bare as if peeling layers of an onion to get to the core of who you really are (ouch!), quizzes that pick your brain, your beliefs & your behavior, as well as a checklist of questions from taking a loan, to entering into a contract in insurance, investments, to appointing a financial advisor, to balancing your books at the end of these short chapters, offering practical guidelines from the African Granny's pearls of wisdom(yes, it is still relevant in the 21st century) offering practical guidelines, rethinking your approach towards money to have a better relationship with money & find your way to life's financial balance & wellbeing. This book is dedicated to hard-working women & men in South Africa and anywhere in the world who continue handling limited resources, manage households, dreams, future endeavors, hold down their jobs(careers) and still make a difference in both their lives and that of their beloved ones; still, be able to keep a smile on your face amidst extreme sometimes painful challenges, I salute you! Zinzi Mdedetyana was born and bred in the Southern Tip of Africa (South Africa) is an emerging female author. She is a financial wellness mentor and a member of COMENSA (Coaches & Mentors of South Africa). She is a board member of COMETSA Heritage Development Agency NPC serves on the Finance Committee. As Managing Director of Zealous Royalty Ark Pty Limited (home for managing personal finances - simple seamless, sophistication). She finds ways to help and guide her clients to reduce their financial stress so they may experience personal financial balance, abundance, and wellbeing. She does so by identifying & engaging with a client's pain point and understanding their financial journey that addresses their fears from paralysis to wellbeing through simple nourishing authentic yet respectful conversations. This is evident & reflected in this book. She has accumulated management experience(Sales & Marketing roles) in varied & diverse industries such as the Big Banks in South Africa, ABSA, Standard Bank, Capitec Bank and African Bank including ACCA(UK) and fulfilled other roles in auditing & accounting at Transnet & Truworths just to mention a few. She has obtained qualifications in Internal Auditing from the Peninsula University of Technology, a National Diploma in Marketing from the Insitute of Marketing Management(IMM) and a Business Management Bachelor's Degree from the University of South Africa.
