It's 1920 in New York City. Miss Kiddie Kolle, daughter of a prominent Brooklyn doctor, just started her freshman year at Columbia University as an art student. Mr. M. W. Corum is also enrolled, working his degree in journalism. After being stationed in France, during WWI, he is far from being eighteen and comes home as the youngest soldier to ever make Major. This is the story of Kiddie and the Major, their ups and downs of dating, falling in love, getting married and growing together as they try to live their best lives in New York City during the decadent twenties. Kiddie finds herself on the cover of magazines, while the Major finds himself rubbing elbows with some of the biggest sports celebrities as he works to write his sports stories for the paper. Together they become a power couple, taking advantage of all New York has to offer and that the American dream can come true. This romantic historical fiction celebrates a decade of their life, love, and their pursuit of happiness.
