Becoming J E Mayhew

Jesus Christ embodies love and empathy in that He has consumed the human experience in His atoning sacrifice, placing Himself in a position of being and not just knowing. Through Christ and His influence, as dictated through the ministrations of the Holy Ghost, we may know how to act before God and be brought ever closer to the majesty and oneness that is promised. The light of Christ and the Holy Ghost can affect the hearts and minds of all mankind individually. When we receive guidance, glory in the form of light and truth enters our bodies. When accepted and assimilated, this glory becomes a part of us and we grow, line upon line and precept upon precept, closer to our Exemplar. As we grow in light and truth, darkness and error are purged from our bodies. This purge can be an uncomfortable or even painful experience depending on the depth of our darkness or our attachment to our error. Our attachment may be from desire, habit, or even shame. The Holy Ghost speaks the truth of God. Heaven is governed in truth and righteousness and the laws and ordinances of God are specifically designed to facilitate the reception and growth of glory. As the light within us grows, our capacity to receive enlarges. Then, through dedication and obedience to the ministrations of the Holy Ghost, that light will continue to grow brighter and brighter until that perfect day.
