In the young dwarven nation of Larrunana, a civil war over the fate of human slaves erupts and risks plunging the continent of Ulinawi into a massive and violent war capable of allowing the demon Civil War from escaping her prison realm. Private detectives from the Arrosa Detective Agency must venture across the ever-growing battlefields of the war to find a way to prevent Civil War's escape, contain the growing violence of the conflict, and end the war before the ancient demon can enter the realm and destroy the world. Along the way, they must fight in battles involving hundreds of thousands of soldiers, combat minotaur boxers, plan war prison escapes, and prevent the death of the orator steward attempting to hold his nation together.
