Ms. Belota chose these particular pieces because they speak to her beliefs about Christmas, its meaning, importance, and the hope that this special day gives to all mankind. Mary-margaret Belota is a born and reared Texan, though she considers herself a little bit a New Yorker, having lived there for several years back in her ancient past. She is a graduate of Texas Wesleyan University in Fort Worth, Texas, and is a retired elementary school music teacher. She has been writing since childhood and is delighted to finally have more time to devote to her first love. This is Ms. Belota's second volume of poetry and she has two other volumes in the works. She is also at work on an eclectic collection of essays, which will be published in early 2019. When not writing, Ms. Belota enjoys singing, volunteering for various church activities, reading, cooking, and not having to get up and go to a job every morning. Retirement is the best!
