An exciting and fast-paced adventure book about a civilization of militarized rats, Rattus Militae is an epic story filled with original myths and classically-inspired tales. With memorable characters like the clever Qib, the thoughtful Gord, and the powerful and brave Rootha, the story outlines the rats civilization's struggle for survival against predators, war with other rats, and a harsh winter. An allegory of sorts, the book is filled with comedy, imagery, allusions, poetry, and a lot of battles. If you are a fan of other animal books like Watership Down or Animal Farm, this is the book you have been waiting for. Taking over 5 years to write, it is a story of the highest quality. Sean Lambert is a teacher of English, Social Studies, Art and Sciences in Liuzhou, China. He has Bachelors Degrees in Education and Arts (Classical Studies and History) from University of British Columbia and a Diploma of Fine Art Practice from Emily Carr University. He previously worked for the Canadian Government's Department of Justice, Public Prosecution Service, and Health Canada. He has visited over 35 countries and he has a primary school in Nsuta, Ghana, named after him. Find out more about Sean's art practice, music, and teaching at www.seanlambert.weebly.com
