When George Fremal wins the lottery, he is immediately approached by charities that want a piece of the payout. George, however, has another cause in mind - one that won't involve charitable contributions from anyone but him. He wants to build a farm where homeless people can grow their own food and work their way out of poverty. With the help of a few down-on-their-luck farming families, Spring Farm becomes a thriving co-op. But no one is prepared for what happens after a little media exposure.
