A circle of scientists, led by Oscar Barnes and his protégé Marushka Myers, is steering an undercover conspiracy from the underground shelter of Carp, Ontario, against the autocratic ruling power of UNO. Time is running out when resources are diminishing, lives are ending and options are becoming out of reach. For the survivors it is a matter of life and death.
