The student explains some of the characteristics that can accompany Down syndrome, along with situations that may occur in the school setting. The book also includes strategies for use in schools. My Friend Jake is designed to help teachers explain Down syndrome to students in a way that promotes understanding and fosters positive peer relationships in the classroom.
