Zoey Miller was a throwaway child. No one wanted her. She was being passed around from one foster home to the next. She'd run away so many times that her social worker had her placed mental hospital for testing. At the hospital, she meets an older girl named Debra Stone. Debra will teach Zoey the true meaning of the word family. As a teenage girl, Debra idolized the actor H. W. Edwards. When she was a young woman they met, and fall in love and later married, just to find out they don't even like each other. After their marriage falls apart, their shared custody of their children. They had agreed to never see each other again. However, years later while Debra was visiting L. A. Debra wants to see H. W.'s beautiful Garden just one more time. Entering his backyard without permission sets off a chain of events that will change both of their lives forever.
