Rowan del'Quist of Sian has become the triple Champion, due to a combination of talent, hard work and sheer perseverance. And now, having achieved more than he ever thought he could or would, he's decided to retire from competition to concentrate on breeding and training horses, just as he'd always planned. But it seems it's not going to be as simple as that... in fact he almost expects to meet himself coming along a forest track one day, busily occupied with something or other else that he hadn't bargained on. And then, after all of the other unforeseen commitments, there's the Dwarf Moot. And there'll surely be even more unexpected issues that go along with that... perhaps retirement isn't an easy option after all.
