Among others, the book tells the heart-warming story of the late Solly Masana, a South African patriot and taxi-cab driver who before going to work for Green-Bishop, considered himself blessed if his daily wages provided him with enough money to properly feed his wife and their two children. Sadly, "In Search of Mandela" also articulates the story of a group of greedy and unprincipled American business people residing in South Africa whose love of money and propensity towards corruption led to the unraveling of "Africa Church Newspaper," the business that Green-Bishop, Masana and others labored mightily to build for the people of South Africa.
