Part one of the color edition of "Angel Knight Joan of Arc: The Fire Within". After her execution on earth, Joan of Arc is resurrected and trained as a Cherub Knight for the Heavenly Council of Arms. Following her elder companion, Idormis Rahn, Joan must protect the greatest artefact in the strange realm of the Majeste: the Tears of God. The Tears are to be used in a magic wedding ceremony that will bind Princess Ellis Eve of Abishia to Prince Aspen of Emynct, in a bid to unite the two rival worlds after many long years of conflict. But all is not well, as Joan knows that the Lord of the Skorth and his ghastly soldiers of Outer Darkness will try to obtain the powerful Tears of God and reclaim his rightful inheritance in Heaven.
