The Midlands of England are known for a temperate climate year-round. Nestled between the Severn and Wye Rivers, spring usually came early. But the year 1835 was different as the weather changed bringing bone chilling winds, rain, and fog. Day after day the sun refused to shed its rays, and the lack of warmth brought intolerable cold. During this dark turn of nature's folly in early March of that year, the tale of Emily Bowles begins.
