Patrick Dylan Quinn
At the age of 27 I landed my dream job of teaching in North Charleston, South Carolina at a new program school designed for 6th graders whose reading abilities were at or below a second grade level. My dream job quickly turned to a nightmare as my new friends and I dealt with debilitating environmental conditions, an inept administration and an impossible mission. This book is about the torment and confusion experienced when caught between two worlds; one of suffering, stress and darkness and one of light, peace, and beauty. This experience taught me just how valuable our teachers are. I learned so much about love, perseverance and determination. There are so many things we can do to improve our education system and hopefully this book highlights a few of those things.
