As all who chose to make our living in the skies will tell you; aviation is highly intolerant of carelessness, incapacity or neglect! All of us who ventured for many years into the firmament most surely came to appreciate those words, at least, those of us who survived. AFTERMATH, tells the story of some who either forgot or decided to disregard this advice. Since that terrible incident, many changes and improvements have been made. We now have TAWS, CRM, RVSM, TCAS and many other gadgets and training regimens to make flying a lot safer. But, in the end, it is and always will be the pilot's judgment and skill that no computer or ground controlled system will ever replace
