Goodbye, Christian Whore Nicole Donoho

I had all the head knowledge of God, I even had some heart knowledge. I had personal moments with God, but our ongoing intimate relationship was deeply lacking. And I really couldn't figure out why. Christianity is simple, as simple as one scoop of vanilla ice cream in a bowl. Somewhere along the journey, most Christians begin adding to that bowl and before too long there's a sloppy, gooey bowl of overflowing toppings where the one simple scoop once stood. How do we clear out that messy bowl and get back to the simple relationship we started with? We say "Goodbye, Christian Whore!" We refocus our attention and our hearts to God. We set Him as our priority, we seek Him as our One Love.
