When the three-year old boy, Nera, told his father that he once lived a previous life with his family before he was murdered by someone very close to him, his father couldn't believe it and asked him to shut up and never raise the subject again, but the memories weighed the boy down. Then one day things took a different turn... Advanced reader Review by Catherine White: Stephen Atalebe outdoes himself in Reincarnated. It's a captivating story about a young boy, Nera, who informed his dad about a life he previously lived which did not end well for him. Atalebe takes us on a thrilling journey as the young boy lives with memories he cannot speak about. I like books that the author has the freedom to express himself, and this is one of them. The fictional nature of the story means Atalebe is only limited by his imagination, and he did not disappoint. The themes in the book are expertly explored and we get to see the characters developing and having to make choices that were impossible before. There is colossal reliability to the culture of a people suggesting Stephen has been influenced by communities that have a strong connection to their culture. The book has a happy ending, so it's good to see modern authors going the old school way and not being too bloody
