I am an avid reader of Wilbur Smith and have read every one of his books. They are incredibly exciting and full of drama and intrigue and I had these in mind while writing this novel. I have recently completed a book called, "The Lion Hunter," set in East Africa. It covers a large swathe of Kenya, Tanzania, Zambia and Zimbabwe. The geography is stunning in description and the story is about an evil lion hunter who is a murderer, and also an illegal lion hunter who has been plying his disgusting trade making money from unscrupulous thrill seekers. He is responsible for the deaths of lions and people in this fast-moving African thriller.
