We all know that living life well can be challenging. Dealing with death, grief, and loss can be devastating, but it doesn't have to be. The author, trained as a Licensed Independent Mental Health Practitioner specializing in children and adolescent and expressive arts therapy who hoped to create another safe place for children and parents to have "the talk" about death, grief, and loss. Death hits us all. However, there is nothing like your first. The first time a child sees a death or deals with an ailing loved one can be traumatic, let's help them make a thoughtful memory and not a trauma trigger together. The author/creator has helped children with grief and loss through play. She is inspiring a generation of minority children and girls to aspire to live their best life now which is the concept behind Ca'Myiah's First Funeral.
