The Australia of 1962 was a far cry from the one we know today. For Tabitha, that year holds some of her most treasured as well as some of her most heart-breaking memories. Following the sudden death of Tabitha's husband many years later, Tabitha confronts the memories of her youth. On a journey of self-discovery and the search for the unattainable love from her teenage youth. Teenage love, lust and desire sees three friends endure a year fraught with contention as they each battle the demons both within and outside of themselves. Trying to find their place in a changing society, the three teens are met with obstacles which they shall need to overcome, either together, or separately, this is their time to make their mark. Life does not always turn out how we expect through. As one of the friends struggles with their sexuality in a climate that does not welcome 'difference', the others are caught in their own battles to fit in with societies and their peers' expectations of them. Suicide, teenage pregnancy and illicit love affairs, what will become of the three friends?
