Samuel Seitz was born in 1811 in Shrewsbury Township, Pennsylvania, the grandson of Johannes and Catherine Reub Seitz, who settled in Shrewsbury before 1780. Samuel married Christianna Klinefelter in 1835 and they had 14 children. The descendants of Samuel and Christianna are given with many details of their lives and numerous photographs. The introduction to the book gives the results of recent research in the 1990s concerning Adleshofen, Baden Germany, the town from which Johannes and Catherine were from in Germany. Details are given about the land Johannes and Catherine Seitz settled on In Shrewsbury in 1786 and the old log home they built. A history of Mt. Zion Evangelical Association in Potosi, PA is included. A number of Samuel Seitz's descendants were in the ice manufacturing business in Baltimore, MD and elsewhere with many details and old photos included.
