This book is a selection of images of Newmarket which is well known around the world as the Home of Horse Racing but it is also a unique market town with a long history, many fine buildings, and two medieval parish churches. It has also enjoyed royal patronage for many years and the Jubilee Clock Tower, Edward VII Memorial Hall, and Palace Street provide reminders of past sovereigns. Newmarket is also the home of the National Heritage Centre for Horseracing and Sporting Art which includes the National Horse Racing Museum and galleries of British Sporting Art.
