This book is a selection of images of Thetford a Norfolk town with a rich heritage and variety of architecture. It has reminders of Thomas Paine its most famous son who was author of the 'Rights of Man', and Maharajah Duleep Singh who was the last independent Sikh ruler of the Punjab and a favourite of Queen Victoria who came to live on an estate near Thetford. Other attractions which also bring visitors from around the world include the Dad's Army Museum and statue of Captain Mainwaring, Thetford Forest which is the largest man made lowland forest in the UK, and Thetford's 'motte' is the tallest medieval earthworks in the country.
