Evan Parker lands in Houston, Texas, and finds himself embroiled in a longstanding property dispute involving local politicians and members of an enraged community. A beloved school has been demolished because of a single document that's resurfaced after many decades and the politicians have plans for an exotic condo and a high-speed rail as a suitable replacement. Three other schools have also been destroyed and Evan finds himself having to make the connection. Unfortunately for him, no one appears to be who they say they are. Now, he must watch his back as he sticks his nose where it shouldn't be.
