Jerry is a big, passenger jet airplane. He thinks he is the biggest and fastest jet there is, and he let everyone else know it too. Until one day, when he saw a rocket going to the moon. After that, Jerry was determined to go to the moon himself, no matter what. Jerry the Jet is an exciting children's story with engaging illustrations and lessens on humility and the dangers of envy sure to please the younger children in your life. Mary Lou Lovchik spent most of her life dedicated to the care of children. Not just her own six children, but a multitude of others as a grade school teacher and then years operating a daycare center out of her home. After creating Jerry the Jet, she always dreamed of having it published. When her son Joe demonstrated artistic skill at an early age, she encouraged him to do some drawings of Jerry and his adventure. Now a professional graphic artist, Joe Lovchik has finished what he considers was his first real commission, and in doing so has completed his mother's dream of having Jerry published.
