Haven Miller is part of a group disenfranchised from Amish living. She wants to be the first to go against her family's wishes by seeking out employment in her chosen field of journalism. She loved a good mystery and wanted to translate her curiosity into award-winning journalism. Her father has been very vocal about his displeasure. Haven was inexperienced from living her life in relative seclusion in Pennsylvania. Her first taste of big city living in Chicago is going to be a culture shock. Her boss David Walsh believes the city is going to make a victim of her and he decides to take a vested interest in teaching her how to navigate the pitfalls of city living. He also becomes her guide in learning what clues to look for when searching out a good story. They both become embroiled in a car thief having a crisis of conscience leading them to a chop shop. What happens when their strictly platonic relationship begins to blossom into something more?
