Located on the shores of the Meskapit Sea at the harbor at the mouth of the Kabborratti River, was a small town for the traders and trappers of the region known to all as the Port of Darquata. The Port was best known for marketing fish, caught by local fishermen, who called Dar- quata home. Sailors knew the Port of Darquata as a comfort during the storms that overtook the peacefulness of their nautical adventures. They shared their stories of their off-shore experience catching the interests of all the people of Darquata.
