Alex is on the verge of a huge meltdown, his usual way of dealing with the stress coming off a mission is sex. Lots and lots of sex, with as many partners as he can get.

This time it's different, he forgot to make a reservation at The Lodge, and Susan couldn't accommodate him, and everyone he tried, knowing his usual MO, said, 'no way.'

While drowning his sorrow at the bar, he was offered a room at the bartender Billy's cousin Cali's house. She's a single mom, with an infant.

The offer came with a threat, that if he touched Cali, he'd be a dead man. Cali was in dire need of cash, which Alex had plenty of... seemed like the perfect match.

Problem was, Cali had a very jealous ex, who wouldn't acknowledge he was an ex. To make matters worse, Alex was extremely attracted to Cali and her baby girl.

Which was why he planned to stay as far away from both of them as possible because he felt he wasn't fit to be around good people.

He was damaged, and didn't trust himself not to hurt anyone. The edge he was riding was crumbling fast. Problem was, Cali was his one.
