An old friend coming back into Miles and Leah's lives and a suicide that might just be murder sets the stage for the third installment of the Lightnet series. When Lightnet begins to investigate a group of cybercriminals who host websites with everything from illegal drug sales to assassinations, they quickly find that evil men calling themselves the Reapers are behind them. What should be a simple case of reporting the perpetrators to the FBI quickly becomes something else as Miles and Leah's anonymity is compromised, and Lightnet is forced to go head to head with the only hackers on Earth who might be on equal footing with them. Despair and friendship are the main themes of this novel as one member of the team begins to understand true loss. As the lines between revenge and justice start to blur and Miles and Leah enter a new stage of their journey, bonds will be tested in every way. By the end of it, Lightnet might not even be able to survive because these Reapers are very real, and they're out for blood!
