Lucy's Gift is an uplifting Christmas story that explores the hope that two surrendered dogs find when they're saved from a shelter by a local dog rescue facility. Lucy had been surrendered after losing her elderly owner to a heart attack and Rascal had been left at the same shelter by a family who no longer wanted him. Fortunately for both dogs, the Misfits Dog Rescue decides to take both dogs, despite their advanced ages, hoping to find them new homes for the holidays. As Lucy settles in with a family who is overcoming the heartache of having lost a beloved husband and father, Rascal finds a new home with a lonely young lawyer. While both dogs were fortunate to be rescued, in their own way, they end up being the ones to rescue the families who welcomed them into their homes.
