I Loved You More Last Year isn't just a statement to one individual or a group of people; it's a series of short letters for all who can relate and feel his words. In this writing, Ishmael honestly expresses the disappointment he has within himself and this so called 'land of the free' we call America. To him, this book is a piece of art. A piece of his history. While writing his first book entitled Too Busy for Heartbreak, he wasn't sure if he'd write another one. He said "I just had some things to get off my chest". So here we are again, a year or so later, with an even more personalized piece of himself. It's safe to say he's here to stay.
