Freeda the Frog & Her New Blue Family is the latest book in the Freeda the Frog series by author Nadine Haruni. This book is a follow up to the Gold Mom's Choice Award winning book, Freeda the Frog Gets a Divorce. In Freeda the Frog & Her New Blue Family, Freeda and her family get used to life after the divorce. They have a new routine in place, but things change when Freeda meets a new blue frog. This change brings new topics into the family discussion such as, "How do you handle a parent remarrying?" and "Does the color on the outside of a frog matter?" Nadine hopes that this book will help to foster children's understanding that blended families with mixed ethnicities, religions, and races are all a family just the same, and all that matters is what is inside a frog (or person).
