At Big Black Dog Studio, we totally get the desire (and need!) to let loose and run without constraints while our imagination takes on us a wildly enjoyable ride of creativity.

DOGlightful Doodlescapes is minimalist as far as coloring books go yet loaded with possibilities as far as sketchbooks go. This collection of dog paw mandalas from our 2020 Dog Lover Planners is your starting point for combining both the joy of doodling and embellishing with the joy of coloring. Been practicing your Zentangle(R)-inspired techniques? Depth and illusion techniques? Random or repeating patterns? Shading and blending? Here's your chance to break out those new graphite, charcoal or colored pencils and get crazy!

60 of our original dog paw mandalas are included in this doodlescape collection as design prompts that let those who don't like to be kept as tightly on the leash as most adult coloring books keep you. Here, feel free to run wild and free to add plenty of your own touches to our design prompts.

Pencils or other non-wet media are highly recommended; otherwise, be sure to put a piece of cardboard behind the designs if you work with gel pens or markers. A pale grey pawprint wallpaper page follows each design to avoid any problems with bleed-through.
