When you read somebody's life story, you step into their shoes and truly experience what they experienced, and it only takes a few hours of your life to see and live their entire life. Life is like an ocean; some people who can't swim do not try, while others who can last for another day. Arnold Lutz has lived 66 years and is happy as a clam about it. In the end, if the rip-currents don't get you, the sharks will, but in his case he is to be cremated and his ashes thrown into the Pacific Ocean, beating the rip-currents and sharks. Arnold fell into that sometimes ferocious and sometimes soothing ocean of life on July 26, 1949. He has learned to avoid the really big sharks and worse rip-currents to live to a ripe old age. The tide of the ocean has carried him through many splendors and many disappointments. But as a great man once said: "Yet today, I consider myself the luckiest man on the face of the earth." AN ORDINARY STORY is about Arnold's life as an artist revealing to you his earliest thoughts, to his predictions about all our destinies, not only his. He discusses who he is, writes lovingly about his mother, father, brother, high school years, college time at Central Michigan University, first jobs, hitchhiking America on $20.00, his marriages and divorces, his daughters, relatives, friends, what he would have done differently and his outlook on the future. He discloses in detail his romantic interlude with the great artist Madonna and meeting Sylvester Stallone on Hollywood Boulevard. Arnold gives us his philosophy of life, and photos of many of his art works. His autobiography is 289 pages, 47,252 words with 142 black & white and color vintage photographs.
