This book is about a little bear named Sarah that spent her first winter awake. She was amazed by winters snow. Even though it was cold she found that she could build a snow man and play in it. About the Author Ashley V. Torres was born and raised in Albuquerque, New Mexico. Ashley has always enjoyed a good coloring book and drawing art. She came to me (Mom) one night and asked me to help her with a book about a bear. We brainstormed and came up with, "The Bear and Winter." Ashley wanted other children to enjoy her book. Now that Ashley is exploring new creativity in writing; I contacted my grandmother and we worked together to help Ashley bring her book into a reality.
