Jesus sang. After the Last Supper, we read, "And when they had sung a hymn, they went out to the Mount of Olives" (Matthew 26:30). They, meaning the disciples and Jesus, sang. I wonder if Jesus was a tenor, baritone, or bass?I wonder if He had perfect pitch?I wonder if He ever sang in a falsetto?We cannot know the answer to those questions, but we know He sang. He also sang from the cross. When Jesus said, "My God, My God, why have you forsaken me," He was not asking a question, but starting a song. He started Psalm chapter 22 and the Hebrew speaking audience followed along as they watched the chorus, that was written 1,000 years earlier, play out in front of them.
