The annual Taste of Harbor culminates a weekend of fierce sailing competition, where rival crews unwind and celebrate before the final race of the prestigious Little Traverse Regatta. Celebration turns to tragedy, when the body of race favorite Jack Stinson is discovered below deck in the hours leading up to the start. Rick Parsons returns to Douglas Lake as the Director of the Biological Station and is called upon to assist with the ensuing forensic investigation, only to learn the victim was his sailing friend from years ago.
