Rebecca an eight-year-old girl from divorced parents finds a creature crash against her bedroom window while living with her father. It's nothing she has ever seen before. The creature looks like a dragon although much smaller than any story her father has ever told her. She discovers it can speak. After telling her father she suspects that he cannot see the dragon but he agrees to let her keep it for now, however she must tell no one. When the creature accompanies her to school it seems no one else can see it either. How will Rebecca explain herself to the Principal after the creature using magic deals with the class bully? Will she have to give up the dragon? Why was the Bully the way that he was? What secret did he have? What secrets do we all keep ourselves that we do not want or cannot let others know? Can Rebecca and Ruby her invisible pet dragon find an acceptable compromise?
