A farm, built and tended by peaceful people of strong faith, finds itself in the center of battle on July 2nd, 1863. The farm is in a place called Gettysburg. In a real sense, the farm itself is the central character as we join individuals and units coming upon the property. From the Sherfy family who called the farm home, to the Union soldiers who defended it, to the Confederates who attacked it, this is the gritty, human story of combat.
