Christine Chatterton
Christine Chatterton has earned a B. S. in Geology and an M. A. in Education. She is an artist, author, poet, geologist, and teacher. She taught Reading and Special Education for almost 30 years in every grade from Elementary to College level. Her passion is in writing about the challenges and brave accomplishments that average people have dealt with. Her book Courage of the Heart: An American Odyssey is the true story of her husband's grandparents during the First World War. Christine has also written and illustrated a children's book, Samuel's Alphabet Zoo. In addition, she has written her memoir of growing up in Detroit, The Kids on Ford Street. She divides her time between writing, traveling, photography, art, visiting classrooms presenting science and cultural lessons, and enjoying her family.
