Before its destruction, the Jewish Temple contained two curtains. Priests could only enter Behind the Second Curtain, once each year on the Day of Atonement, and ?not without blood.? (Hebrews 9:7) God resided Behind that Second Veil. When Jesus died, the temple curtain was torn in two, signifying ?the veil is removed in Christ.?
