Six women from the Old Testament serve as allegorical illustrations in a comparative study between the old and new covenants. Law and Grace are personified through the lives of Sarah and Hagar, Rachel and Leah, and Hannah and Peninnah. Distinct covenantal differences are revealed via names, relationships and circumstances. The colossal transition from the age of the Law into the kingdom of Grace is also explored in fresh concepts and terms. These ideas challenge the believer to function in a current New Testament relationship with God through the redemptive person and work of the Lord Jesus Christ.
