Honolulu Play-off (Alan Saxton Mysteries) Keith Miles Reprint edition

Alan Saxon flies to Honolulu to act as best man for Donald Dukelow, an American golfer who has always beaten Saxon in play-offs. Things get rapidly worse when Saxon and Dukelow go on to a nightclub. Though Saxon manages to carry his friend back to the hotel, he finds him brutally murdered in his bed next morning. But a murder soon turns Saxon to solving the crime. How odd that it seems almost as if not one, but two killers are involved in a play-off to see who can murder Saxon first. Unaware of their identities, Saxon weaves, dodges, and tries every trick he knows to stay alive.
