A gritty and mildly irreverent satire detailing a shocking account of how the Earth was nearly annihilated on January 1, 1990. Some of the names have been changed in order to further protect the privacy of fictitious persons involved. Other names, including those belonging to Biblical personalities, have also been changed in order to safeguard and preserve formal reputations. A pair of Biblical figures descended into an unsavory Los Angeles neighborhood, tasked with locating and redeeming the worst soul on the planet, hoping their efforts, if successful, might help convince the Universe's Chief Executive Officer to cancel or delay Earth's scheduled demise. They were clearly warned that their efforts should, in no way, interfere with that outcome, unaware that their endeavor - and that outcome - were indelibly linked. The tone of the novel, described cinematically, might be as follows: If you dropped 'Oh God' and 'The Big Lebowski' into a blender at puree speed, the contents might emulsify into The Trouble In Dogflat Hollow.
