Lorraine Bridges finds the perfect apartment--her first--across the street from Dolores Park in San Francisco. The year was 1972 and San Francisco was still winding down from the1967 Summer of Love. The city was full of youthful energy and was a beacon for artists and non-conformists from all over the world. It didn't take Lorraine long to discover that her new neighbors were just like her--an eclectic collection of single San Francisco transplants. Unfortunately, what seemed to be Utopia turned out to be a harbinger of civil unrest, murder, and mayhem.
