Part One: It has been almost ten years since Doctor Dijon DuPré retired from the specialized Epidemic Intelligence Unit under the command of the 2nd Foreign Parachute Regiment. Now at fifty-two he is finally enjoying his life as a medical doctor in Corsica until he sees an old friend out of his past that gives him a package. He's reluctant to help but his curiosity gets the best of him. He has to find out what is causing a mysterious rash, which is incapacitating people in Libya. His inquiry threatens his friends and almost pits country against country. Once again Doctor DuPré is packing his bags to go fight a virus that may end mankind, as we know it. Part Two: Inside their stomachs, something awoke. It was microscopic. So, tiny it would have been hard to find even with an electronic microscope. It was mutated, changed by the genetic modified structure the manufacture made to the seeds they sold to the world. It shouldn't have happened, but it did. A living entity was absorbed into plant life. When mankind changes the structure of nature itself, nature retaliates the only way it knows. It cleanses itself of what it did not create. The beast that awoke inside the stomach lining had no idea it had been transformed from it original evil form into something even more hideous. It stretched from its deep sleep. It was hungry. It hadn't eaten in a long time. It stretched again, moving in another direction of the stomach lining. It had found its new home, and it was flesh and blood. It had only one purpose and that was to replicate itself. And it did.
