The Holy King defeated the king of the Dark Demons, Dakroth, but not without being slain himself. Following his death, the Holy Capital was easily taken by the combined onslaught of the Demon army, and the military of Solas are in full defensive mode, just managing to hold their Vice Capital. However, after years of war, the morale of the Solasian people is at an all time low and the people need a victory to get their hopes up.
